Explosion of Data Centers Worldwide
Global demand for cloud computing, AI, and digital services has triggered an unprecedented boom in data center construction with thousands of new sites are reshaping urban and regional areas across the world.
The scope is shown by the funding commitments of the major US tech companies with investments in the billions of dollars. Pictures show some of the data center commitments for 2025 such as the massive $500 Billion commitment by the Stargate joint venture.

Noise Problems
Data centers have noise problems, especially low-frequency noise which is difficult to reduce and manage. Many data centres are now located much closer to residential neighbourhoods, increasing the risk of acoustic intrusion and human annoyance. Existing noise regulations often don’t account sufficiently for continuous, 24/7 low-frequency noise that erodes quality of life.
A major source of the noise is rooftop cooling systems and air handling units, which emit persistent hums in the 50–500 Hz range.
Noizend Solution
Noizend uses the proven science of active noise control (ANC) as used in noise cancelling headphones and expands it to the wider environment. Noizend uses ANC to create the low frequency noise cancelling anti-waves.
Noizend prepares a digital twin of the data center site, develops AI physics informed neural networks (PINNs) for digital modelling.
Development and then based upon PINNs develop ANC for the data site before installation of the Noizend Shield system.
Benefits to Data Centers of Noizend Solution
* Increased productivity due to increased capacity when data center is not constrained by noise restrictions.
* Better community engagement as low-frequency noise is reduced for local residents.
* Improved productivity of data center workers less adversely affected by low-frequency noise.
* Improved maintenance when issues are identified earlier due to sound anomalies identified by the Noizend Shield system.
