How it actually works, in plain English.

A few small microphones measure the noise, software maps exactly how it reaches you and speakers cancel it out before you hear it, usually near the source, sometimes closer to home.

Listen

A handful of small microphones are placed around the noisy site and sometimes at a nearby property, to measure exactly how the low-frequency noise behaves.

Understand

Software works out exactly how that low hum spreads across the area and reaches your home, so we know precisely where it's loudest and why.

Cancel

Speakers produce a mirror-image sound wave that cancels the noise out. Usually that happens at the site itself; sometimes a speaker closer to your home gets a better result.
