Noizend Awarded National Industry PhD Grant

Noizend has been awarded a National Industry PhD grant through the Australian Government Department of Education.

The National Industry PhD Program funds doctoral research carried out in partnership between a university and an industry partner, with the aim of building research capability inside Australian companies and moving research outcomes into commercial application. For Noizend, the grant supports doctoral research into low-frequency noise control, the physics and machine learning work that underpins Noizend Analyse and the active noise control products behind it.

Noizend co-founder and CTO George Tulloch is a PhD candidate at the University of Technology Sydney, whose Centre for Audio, Acoustics and Vibration has been the setting for Noizend's experimental work, including the active noise control demonstration carried out in the UTS hemi-anechoic chamber.

The grant adds to Noizend's existing support from the NSW Government, the City of Sydney, NVIDIA's Inception program and Autodesk's Technology Impact Program.
